Birmingham Restaurant Festival October Supper Club

Birmingham Restaurant Festival October Supper Club

What a year it’s been already, we’ve absolutely loved hosting so many of you at our Supper Club throughout the year. For our very last event of 2024, we had to make it a particularly good one and if you manage to get tickets to this very exclusive dinner you’ll absolutely be in for a treat.

Highland Park X Albatross Death Cult Supper Club

Thurs 17 Oct
First sitting: 6.30pm
Second sitting: 8.30pm

The Birmingham Restaurant Festival Supper Club launched at our 2022 festival. The concept was simple; bringing together like-minded people for dinner; great food and new company. It now runs every few months, keeping the Birmingham Restaurant Festival spirit alive all year round.

In October, join us for a night to remember at one of Birmingham’s hottest new openings. Albatross Death Cult will be serving up a tasting menu of 7 (or more) dishes, paired with four coastal cocktails created in collaboration with Highland Park.

With space for just 14 guests per sitting, all sat around a monolithic kitchen counter, this will be a communal and intimate supper club experience. Get to know your fellow guests as the Albatross crew serve up a rapid-fire sequence of dishes that smack you in the face like ocean spray.

The evening will be co-hosted by Whisky Specialist, Joseph Ellis, who will present each pairing and share some of the stories of this magical Orkney distillery.

THE MENU

This is our first ever mystery menu. Working only with the finest seafood they can get each week, the Albatross tasting menu changes with the tides.

Brought to you by Alex Claridge and the team behind The Wilderness, Albatross has serious credentials, landing a listing in the Michelin Guide just ten weeks after opening. Daring diners are in for a serious treat with this one. Don’t just take our word for it, as Square Meal have written: “this is a restaurant more concerned with impact, quality, and flavour than any convention or cuisine. Instead, guests should expect spontaneous, playful and usual plates infused with a characteristic rebellious streak.”

Fancy a flavour of what to expect before you commit? You can check out their sample menu here.

In keeping with Albatross’s commitment to coastal ingredients, and complimenting Highland Park’s island heritage, all four paired drinks are a celebration of the sea. Expect imaginative re-workings of Albatross’s signature coastal cocktails – Sea Truffle Negroni, Sea Buckthorn Punch and Kombu Old Fashioned – plus a dram of Highland Park’s exceptional Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky to finish.

There are just 14 tickets available for each sitting, priced at £88 per person.

Regrettably, menus cannot be adapted for vegetarian, or vegan diners. If you have any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact Albatross Death Cult before purchasing a ticket.
